A record of Rasdhara’s journey, productions, recognitions and the milestones that reflect our continued commitment to theatre and social awareness.
Every performance, every new experience and every opportunity to connect with an audience becomes a part of Rasdhara’s journey.
Since its establishment on 11 November 2024, Rasdhara Theatre Society has continued to explore theatre as a medium for cultural expression, public awareness and social transformation.
Our journey reflects the dedication of our performers, collaborators, volunteers and everyone who believes in the power of creative expression.
On 2 January 2026, Rasdhara took the stage at Shabdotsav, where many teams performed on many different themes. We chose civic sense. Our play carried one simple message: not everything can be left to the government to fix. The cleanliness of our streets, the way we behave in public spaces and the respect we show our shared surroundings depend just as much on us. By turning everyday habits into a story, we asked the audience to look at their own role before pointing at someone else’s.
Rasdhara represented itself on the Shabdotsav stage with confidence, and the effort of the whole team showed in the performance. When the winners were announced, Rasdhara was awarded the First Prize. It was a big moment for us, because this was our first time taking part in Shabdotsav, and we came home with the top honour on our very first attempt. The team received prize money, and every team member was given a certificate in recognition of their work. For all of us at Rasdhara, it was a proud and joyful day, and it gave us the confidence to keep telling stories that make people think.
Rasdhara Theatre Society brings theatre, storytelling and performing arts beyond the stage to educate, create awareness and inspire social transformation.
